BERLIN HALF MARATHON EXPO 2024

The Berlin Half Marathon Expo 2024 was successfully hosted on the expansive and historically significant grounds of the former Tempelhof Airport. Spanning a total area of 150,000 m² with 10,000 m² of exhibition space, the event’s organization required precise management and strategic planning. A key focus was the smooth handling of race number distribution for thousands of participants, achieved through detailed preparation and efficient workflows. Simultaneously, the exhibition area was designed to provide a diverse and engaging experience for both exhibitors and visitors. Coordinating numerous temporary structures, including pagodas, exhibition stands, and complex truss systems, was one of the main challenges. This involved meticulously aligning the logistical requirements of suppliers, exhibitors, and service providers. Planning access routes, managing the setup and teardown schedules, and seamlessly integrating all components demanded exceptional organizational skills and adaptability. Technical planning played a critical role, covering power and water supply, lighting, safety measures, and emergency exit strategies. The unique characteristics of the venue required tailored solutions to meet both functional and regulatory standards. Additionally, effective communication with various stakeholders, including authorities, sponsors, and exhibitors, was crucial. Through close collaboration and well-defined processes, the event delivered not only a seamless experience but also a memorable and impactful showcase for all participants.
